Nicht bei Lipperheide. - Einzige Ausgabe eines der schönsten Bücher über Sizilien und in einem repräsentativen luxuriösen zeitgenössischen Einband. - Opulent ausgestattete Monographie mit romantischen Orts- und Landschaftsansichten u.a. von Franz Hegi, Ch. Bentley, Himely und Salathe nach Huber, Forbin, Cassas u.a. - Sehr gut erhalten. Text gering stockfl., die Taf. gelegentlich in den Rändern, ca. 5 Taf. insgesamt etwas stärker gebräunt und fleckig. Die Subskribentenliste hier wie oft nicht beigegeben. Dem Tafelverzeichnis zufolge vollständig mit einer Karte. Es lassen sich aber auch Ex. mit einer zweiten Karte nachweisen. - Rare views of Sicily: a beautiful example, with wide margins, of the first edition of one of the most lavish of all aquatint books illustrated by the foremost Swiss and British aquatint artists of the day, including the two Fieldings, after original studies by some of the leading Europe an artists. 2 parts in 1 volume. With 1 engraved map and 92 aquatint plates. Contemporary red morocco (joints restored, somewhat rubbed and stained). Very good condition.
