Smit (each with a printed tissue guard) and numerous photogravure illustrations by E. Caldwell and others. 3/4 black leather binding with green cloth; 5 raised spinal bands. Many of the most noted big game hunters of the time contributed towards this defining work of African hunting, including Harry Johnston, and F. C. Selous. The major contributor was noted naturalist, Richard Lydekker. Ex library (Museums Trustees of Kenya) with appropriate canceled stamps.
