Hardback, original calf, with recent calf spine and label. Marbled end-papers. Complete with 88 fine hand-coloured engraved plates by W.H.C. Edwards after Hooker, including the 4 supplementary plates. Binding a little rubbed and worn to corners. Lacking two explanatory text leaves opposite plate LIV. Occasional light spotting and offsetting, plates generally bright and clean. Bookplate of Joseph Dickinson, M.D. to the front pastedown. A nice clean copy.
