Maps brittle but in generally very good condition, with usual creases and small tears. Light foxing to the plates and one fold out. Text at front of volume with heavy foxing. Overall a decent copy of the a very scarce volume. Volume 12-1. Thomas H. Ford, Washington, 1860 House of Representatives Complete. 70 plates, all lithographs in color and 3 folding maps. Plates and text are clean. Damp stain to gutter starting at page 256 to the end, not affecting the text. Only 2 of the plates have this staining. Index in back with staining to the fore edge. Volume 12-2. Thomas H. Ford, Washington, 1860 House of Representatives Complete. 51 plates. All but 2 are in B &W and are of plants, bugs, animals, birds and fish. Toning to 2 plates and occasional light foxing to others. Wonderful lithograph of bird in color. Foxing to the first 3 pages including the title-page. Occasional light foxing to the text.
