Francis Bott oil painting on paper. Signed and dated 66 by the artist in ink. The sheet is attached to thick card and has old crease marks in all four corners, which are more noticeable in the bottom right corner. In the lower left corner there is a small spot of paint which has peeled off, otherwise in good condition. Sheet/ Image size 330 x 235 mm. Reference: Henze 1024 Bott s style continued to develop throughout his career and in the 1960 s and the 1970 s, he embarked on two major pictorial series, namely Espaces Concertés and Cathédrales. These represented a change to a more linear approach and are characterised by a more vibrant colours in keeping with the mood of the times.
