Rebound (1980s) to the highest standards of craftsmanship by J. Henderson of York. Full black leather. Gilt lining to board edges. Raised bands to spine. Elaborate and appropriate gilt decoration to spine. Gilt label. Endpapers in appropriate period marbled paper. Gilt decoration to turn-ins. The plates are wonderfully bright. The contents are clean and free from foxing, although some tissue guards are foxed. All edges marbled originally. A beautiful book Bound to match Donovans¿s Insects of China which I am also listing.
