\Artist: Pietro Ronzoni (1781-1862)
Technique: Oil on board\Signature: Hand signed\Dimensions: 1_47_60_cm
Museum work by Pietro Ronzoni from the auction house, certified by Professor Giannini Federico, with a study on the work. The original certification will be sent to the buyer. Ronzoni first studied at the Carrara Academy in Bergamo. He then completed his training in Rome, under the guidance of the Mantuan landscape architect Luigi Campovecchio. He met Angelica Kauffmann and Antonio Canova and became friends with numerous artists, including Pelagio Palagi, Martin Verstappen, Hendrik Voogd. After the death of his master, he became a follower and friend of François Marius Granet. In 1809 he returned to Bergamo where he worked as a set designer; he executes various city views and landscapes, taken from life but still inspired by the classical ideal. He was appointed professor at the Carrara Academy, then directed by Giuseppe Diotti to whom he was bound by a deep friendship and professional collaboration. In 1815 he moved to Verona establishing himself as a successful landscape painter, active for a cultured international client. From 1840 his painting, influenced from the beginning by the French landscape painters, is renewed towards a greater atmospheric rendering of the vision by adopting an undone and soft brushstroke. This mature production is influenced on the one hand by the models of Giuseppe Canella and on the other by the innovative painting of Piccio. Measures with frame 67cm x 80cm
