Lotus Excel SE 2. 2 1987, right-hand drive. According to the registration, the last owner of this Lotus Excel was His Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Denmark (the registration document is included) . This Lotus was registered in Southern England for the first six years where it had two owners. The car was sold by Kent Sports Cars to His Royal Highness Prince Joachim in 1993. In the same year, Prince Joachim had a non-corrosive exhaust installed. The Lotus spent the years 1993–1994 in Hong Kong with His Royal Highness Prince Joachim who drove approx. 1200 miles during that time. Afterwards, the car was back in Denmark. His Royal Highness Prince Joachim drove approx. 2000 miles between 1994 and 2002. Engine and drive were restored in the early 2000s. The vehicle is quite presentable with a patina and signs of wear. The steering rack gaiters are broken which means that repairs need to be taken into account. The car was maintained by an official Lotus dealer while in possession of His Royal Highness Prince Joachim. His Royal Highness Prince Joachim sold the car in 2002.
