Seated ballerina adjusting womens ballet shoes (pointe shoes). The ballerina is depicted in a large fluffy white dress. Glazed porcelain, white with hand-painted in some details of the dress and a blue bow in the hair. The shoes are gilded. Production of the manufactory Unterweissbach (Unterweissbach) in Thuringia (Germany). Founded in 1880. Nationalized in 1953. The companys products are popular in many countries around the world. Porcelain figurines depicting ballerinas gained particular popularity. Porcelain, hand-painted, gilded. The ballerinas lost right hand has been restored.
