Blick auf die von Bergen umgebene Stadt an der Kocher in Baden-Württemberg, im oberen Bereich der Darstellung drei Wappen, unten rechts Kartusche mit Legende und im vorderen Bereich Figurenstaffage, kolorierter Kupferstich, um 1580, rückseitiger typographischer Text, kaum merklich sich abzeichnend, minimal gebräunt, unter Passepartout und hinter Glas gerahmt, Darstellungsmaße ca. 32,5 x 48 cm. Künstlerinfo: Maler, Kupferstecher und Verleger (vor 1540 in Mecheln bis um 1590 in Köln), Stiefvater war der Kartenmacher Hendrik Terbruggen (Pontanus), Zuflucht in Köln 1570, nachdem er wegen der religiösen Unruhen in den Niederlanden verbannt wurde.

View of the town surrounded by mountains on the Kocher river in Baden-Württemberg, three coats of arms in the upper part of the depiction, cartouche with legend lower right and a staffage of figures in the foreground, coloured copperplate engraving, around 1580, typographic text on the reverse, barely noticeable, minimally browned, matted and framed behind glass, dimensions approx. 32.5 x 48 cm. Artist information: painter, engraver and publisher (before 1540 in Mechelen until around 1590 in Cologne), stepfather was the mapmaker Hendrik Terbruggen (Pontanus), refuge in Cologne in 1570 after he was banished due to the religious unrest in the Netherlands.
