um 1925, auf dem Marmorsockel gravierte Signatur D. H. Chiparus, Metallguss dunkelgrün patiniert, tief geduckt schleichender Panther in bewegter Oberflächengestaltung, auf mehrteiliger Marmorplinthe montiert, altersgemäß gut erhalten, etwas reinigungsbedürftig, L Skulptur 65 cm, L gesamt 75,5 cm. Künstlerinfo: Demetre Haralamb Chiparus, frz./rumän. Bildhauer und Entwerfer (1886 Dorohoi/Rumänien bis 1947 Paris), studierte ab 1909 in Florenz bei Raffaello Romanelli und ab 1912 an der Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, gehört vor allem mit seinen Darstellungen von Pariser Revuetänzerinnen zu den wichtigsten Vertretern des dekorativen bildhauerischen Stils des französischen Art déco, Quelle: Internet.

Chiparus on the marble base, cast metal with dark green patina, crouching panther with moving surface design, mounted on a multi-part marble plinth, in good condition for its age, somewhat in need of cleaning, l sculpture 65 cm, l total 75.5 cm. Artist information: Demetre Haralamb Chiparus, French/Romanian sculptor and designer. Sculptor and designer (1886 Dorohoi/Romania to 1947 Paris), studied from 1909 in Florence under Raffaello Romanelli and from 1912 at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, is one of the most important representatives of the decorative sculptural style of French Art Deco, especially with his depictions of Parisian revue dancers, source: Internet.
