Additional Information: Japanese "aka-e" (red painted) Kutani porcelain vase decorated in polychrome enamels, the characteristic orange-red, and gilt highlights with a continuous scene of beauties and girls strolling under blossoming trees by a lake in a park. The central scene is bordered in geometric bands with gilt highlights. The trees are accented with an abundance of tiny moriage white dots. From an old Tucson, Arizona collection.

Condition Report: Base marked "Kutani made" in orange-red. Solidly potted and in very good overall condition with typical minor wear to the glazes and production imperfections. There is a fine old brown hairline (about 2" long) inside the mouth. Green felt has been applied to the foot ring.
