14 kt gold. Large ring with diamonds (4 ct) and a Mabe pearl. Sicily, 1930s/1950s. Amazing large 14 kt gold ring; set in the centre is a large half natural pearl (cultured in salt water) , surrounded by a large and luxurious pave setting of diamonds (mixed cut, rose and brilliant cut) , very luminous and with excellent light reflections, weighing approx. 4 ct. The upper part is covered with a thin layer of silver cupel. The opulent design, typical of 19th century Bourbon Sicily, is still highly sought after. Antique production in perfect condition, no signs of damage or wear; the top part is covered by a very thin layer of high grade silver, typical of 19th century workmanship. This item of jewellery is valuable thanks to its size, style and precious materials used. Please admire the lot in the photo gallery, bearing in mind that the photos don't do justice to its beauty and brilliance, but it is really beautiful, you have my word. Ring size: 15 IT, inner diameter: 1. 8 cm, top dimensions: 3. 8 x 2. 2 cm, pearl diameter: 1. 5 cm. Weight: 15. 2 grams. Although Bourbon items of jewellery do not have a high value as far as the materials are concerned, it does feature some very fine craftsmanship. In general, the gold title is never very high, but it is not always easy to define the carat weight of items of jewellery from the Bourbon period, as each goldsmith had his own personal 'recipe' for the gold. Nevertheless, these are very rare and highly precious items of jewellery which can be worn with pride. As the gems are set, their exact carat weight cannot be accurately measured; the item of jewellery is presented in its total value of refinement and preciousness. Worldwide tracked shipping via express courier.
