First edition of this richly illustrated world history for the use of the Prussian crown Prince.
Barbier attributes many of the text engravings to Romeyn de Hooghe.
Both covers with two frames each, made of two gold fillets, with gold-embossed crowns in the corners.
In the middle of both covers there is a large gold-embossed coat of arms of Friedrich Wilhelm I (the later Soldier King).
Spine with gold-embossed title and gold-embossed crowns in the segments, raised bands.
Marbled edges
Very good interior, damage to the lower end of the spine
