This is a rather scarce large map of Asia. The partial coastlines of Jesso and Compagnies Land are depicted to the north of Japan. Novaya Zemlya is partially explored, there is no Kamchatka and the Caspian Sea is rather miss-shaped. Insets are of the North Pacific map based on the information from Father Martini and the lower one illustrates the road between Peking and Kirin and Nincrita per Jesuit Father Verbiest. Much added detail includes topography, rivers, lakes, towns, etc. The large title cartouche shows the female representation of Asia surrounded by a wealth of trade goods with a caravan in the background. There is a Latin title is in the top margin: Asia in Praecipuas Ipsius Partes Distributa...
