17TH C. TWO-PART COURT CUPBOARD

Continental Diminutive Cabinet in black walnut, having a molded overhanging top with chip carved frieze, two molded panel shallow side-by-side drawer retaining the original bronze button pulls, flanked by acanthus leaf brackets and bas relief shields, below which are two molded and chip carved panel doors with matching bronze pulls centered on rosette cartouches, flaked by Caryatids and full-round tapered columns, finished by matching chip carved lower molding. The cabinet sits on the original lion head and paw trestle base with shaped and shield carved mortise and tenon stretcher, 47 1/2" x 39 1/2" x 15 1/2". Nice age and use wear and patina.
