double fuller single-edged Hounslow blade inscribed twice "HOVN MEFACIT", probably attributable to Benjamin Stone (London, 1630-1642), basket hilt, subspherical pommel, 40-1/2 in.Note:ÿThis sword is mentioned on page 404 in Hume's work, The Archaeology of Martin's Hundred: Part 1, Interpretive Studies, where he notes the inscription, gives Hounslow attribution to the blade and suggests probable connection to Benjamin Stone's tenure.Provenance: The I.
