1880's Indigo Blue Ohio Stars Quilt

Description

This elegant cotton 1870's/1880's indigo and white stars quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a cinnamon pink background.

It measures 76" X 90" and is in excellent, sturdy condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear.

There are close straight line and grid designs quilted throughout at an even 10 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is the same deep indigo blue used in the interior, and the batting is thin. The quilt came out of Union County, Ohio.

The photos just don't do justice to this WELL EXECUTED 19th century beauty in GREAT CONDITION -- it's even more impressive in real life!
