1880's Red & White Carpenter's Square Quilt

Description

This OUTSTANDING cotton 1870's/1880's red and white carpenter's square quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted.
It measures 82" X 84" and is in very good condition, with the occasional small spot and surface dirt in places (see pics) and the beginnings of wear at the edge of the binding in places.
There is quilting around the piecework and in a straight line design in the background, all at an even 8 stitches to the inch.
The back is a black, red, and white 19th century anchor conversation print, the hand stitched binding is red, and the batting is thin.
The MAGNIFICENT MAZE PATTERN in VIBRANT RED makes this 19th century COLLECTOR'S QUILT stand out -- it would make a terrific wall hanging!
