18K+ Gold Bracelet w/ 7 Large Egyptian Faience Scarabs

Ancient Egypt, late Middle Kingdom to New Kingdom, 13th to 20th Dynasty, ca. 1803 to 1077 BCE. A beautiful, wearable bracelet with settings of 79% gold (equivalent to 18K+) and hallmarked, star-form links of 84% gold (equivalent to 20K+) featuring seven hand-carved, glazed steatite scarabs with intricate base decorations. A rectangular steatite toggle plaque bears the cartouche of Amenhotep III on the base and the name of his wife, Queen Tiye on top. The scarabs consist of a 2nd Intermediate bead with incised spirals; a New Kingdom bead with a cartouche of Thutmose III; a 2nd Intermediate bead with a lion and turquoise glaze; a New Kingdom bead with a perfume bottle and Nefer symbols; a late Middle Kingdom bead reading "Keeper of the cabinet, keeper of the crown, Pusenba;" a New Kingdom bead with blue glaze and scrolls; and a New Kingdom bead with uraei and a cartouche of Thutmose III. Size (bracelet): 9.5" L (24.1 cm); largest scarab (center): 0.8" L x 0.6" W (2 cm x 1.5 cm); quality of gold: 78-84% (equivalent to 18K+ to 20K+); total weight: 41.2 grams.
