18TH C. DUNLAP-STYLE QUEEN ANNE HIGHBOY

Exceptional early flat-top highboy in the style of the Dunlap family of New Hampshire, with dovetailed drawers, deeply scrolled skirt and period engraved brass hardware (likely original). Light wood, likely maple. Dimensions: H 71.75" x W 40.5" x D 21.5" Condition: Top right drawer with one bottom panel detached; several other drawers with separation, loosening, or stress cracks to interior panels; loss to trim along right side; apparent reinforcements to right legs. Left legs each missing molding on side returns. Joint separation and scattered stress cracks to wood. a few stray paint marks, antique patina including old nicks, scuffs, and small chips throughout. Keys not included.
Condition: All the items in this auction remain at our gallery location in Norwalk, CT for pickup. Preview is by appointment, Monday-Friday, 9:30-4:30. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Tuesday, Wednesday December 1st- Friday, December 10th, 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS. We will offer in-house shipping to the Contiguous USA for select smaller items in this sale, please contact us prior to bidding for a quote as purchases are not contingent on shipping.
