Late 17th early 18th century traditional Scottish highland claymore pierced basket hilted broadsword. Marked tang. Stag handle. Steel basket hilt is decorated with traditional pierced heart pattern of the late 17th and early 18th century. Single edged blade bears fuller & is etched with regal British crown marking " Dieu et mon droit " among other royal British military symbols within the blade's etching. Pre - pattern 1828.
