Italian, 18th century. Neoclassical cream painted and parcel gilt foot stool, having red cut velvet upholstery with brass nailhead trim, guilloche decorated frame with striated corner blocks, and rising on acanthus carved tapered legs. Unmarked. Approx. h. 19.5", w. 16.75", d. 15.5".
Condition Report: No apparent stains or tears; some wear and scattered chips to surface; wood loss to inside of one leg; evidence of previous worming (inactive); frame is structurally sound.
