18th C. Chinese Export Maritime Porcelain, 2 Pcs
Chinese, late 18th century. Group of two Chien Lung era Chinese export enameled porcelain items comprising a famille rose coffee cup decorated with a three masted clipper ship flying an American flag and a small tea bowl decorated witha ship flying the British flag. Both unmarked but having H. Moog labels and the American mug with the tag. Approx. of the mug 2.75", dia. excluding handle 2.75"; bowl h. 1.75", dia. 3.25".
Condition Report: Both cups had minor firing / glazing imperfections, Mug has manufacturing imperfection that has been glazed over and a stable hairline crack -- barely visible. Both with some enamel wear to rims. Tea cup without handle has areas of well done over paint restoration, a slight textured edge and a stable hairline under the overglaze.
