On offer is an awesome archive of art by Charles Reginald Enock, famed traveler, explorer, and writer of the late 19th and early 20th century. This collection is comprised of seven small watercolor sketches of Inca ruins and views of Peru and its people, c. 1904-05, mostly signed with initials, approx. 140 x 205 mm, together with five similar pen, ink and wash drawings, mostly signed with initials, and bearing on verso some manuscript notes. Included is a printed sketch map of Enock's routes in Peru, during 1903-04; a pub. Royal Geographical Society 9th January, 1905, and a few related printed illustrations. CHARLES REGINALD ENOCK published several works of travel and exploration, principally relating to South America and the Inca Civilisation of Peru, including The Andes and the Amazon, Life and Travel in Peru, first published in 1907.
