1919 Sterling Silver Pair of Coffee & Chocolate Pots

A beautiful pair of Georgian style Sterling Silver (925) Coffee and Chocolatiere pots in very good condition.
They are both hallmarked by the Sheffield Assay office as silver and dated 1919, with the maker’s mark for Hardy Brothers of Charterhouse Street & West Smithfield, London (Also in Sydney & Brisbane, Australia). The 2 pots have the transversal boxwood handles at opposite sides, allowing the server to use their right and left hand when pouring. There is a bruise to the bottom edge of each pot, but this does not detract from the beauty of the items.
The chocolate pot is virtually indistinguishable from the coffee pot and many were used indiscriminately for both coffee and chocolate.
Size: 13.5 x 22 x 19 cm (5 ¼ x 8 5/8 x 7 ½ inches)
Weight: 892 g

Reserve: $1,196.00
