Condition Report: MS 65. Slabbed. Slabbed/in plastic casing. Graded by PCGS. The term slabbed refers to coins that have been submitted to a professional grading service to certify the grade of the coin. Grading services experts examine the coin, assign the coin a grade, and seal it into a hard plastic 'slab' with a label that indicates coin type, date, mintmark, variety, and grade. The holder prevents any tampering or fraudulent replacement of the certified coin with something else. Most collectors and dealers readily accept the grades of slabbed coins. Given this, slabbed coins are favored highly.
