LOT 110

1966 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage

[ translate ]

Chassis No.

Chassis No.: DB6/2530/LN
Engine No.: 400/2546/V
Documents: Kuwait Vehicle Registration
Addendum: Please note this lot has entered the EU on a temporary import bond, which must be cancelled either by exporting the lot outside of the EU on an approved Bill of Lading with supporting customs documentation or by paying the applicable VAT and import duties to have the lot remain in the EU.

Built to left-hand-drive specification, this DB6 Vantage was delivered new to Doctor Louis W. Conway of Richmond, Virginia, USA. It was finished in the rare colour combination of Charcoal Grey over Red Connolly leather. It was also highly specified, fitted with a 3.73:1 rear axle with limited-slip differential, heated rear window, two-tone FIAMM horns, Britax belts, Marchal fog lamps, Bosch radio/aerial, chrome wheels, and desirable Normalair air conditioning.

Its history from then until 1989 is not documented, but from then it is known to have been owned by Markley C. Brown of Santa Barbara, California. In 1991, Brown sold the car to a Dutch enthusiast, and it is believed that, while in their care, the car was the subject of a restoration.

Acquired by the consigning owner at auction in 2011, chassis DB6/2530/LN was exported to Kuwait, where it was placed in storage as part of a larger Aston Martin collection. As a result, please note that this vehicle will require recommissioning prior to road use.

Presented in silver over red leather, this DB6 has been found to retain its matching-numbers Vantage engine. A rare North American-specification DB6 Vantage loaded with optional factory extras, this car would be ideally suited to tours and rallies.
