Lancée en 1961, la Mercedes 300 SE W112 est l'initiatrice de la classe " S ". Elle vient combler la place laissée vacante par la 300 Adenauer en haut de la gamme et est déclinée en plusieurs versions, équipées du six-cylindres M189 dont les 170 cv lui permettaient d'atteindre près de 200 km/h. En plus d'une suspension arrière pneumatique à assiette constante, elle bénéficiait d'une finition plus soignée avec enjoliveurs chromés et habitacle richement équipé. La version coupé ne sera produite qu'à 2419 exemplaires.
Ce beau coupé de couleur gris argent d'origine, a été immatriculé le 2 juin 1967 et a rejoint la collection en 2017. Outre son élégante combinaison de couleurs qui est complétée d'un pavillon noir brillant, il dispose d'un bel intérieur en cuir vert d'origine et bien patiné. Ses équipements en font une des versions les plus désirables puisqu'il est doté de la boîte de vitesses mécanique et d'une climatisation optionnelle. Saine, la carrosserie a été repeinte, tandis que le compartiment moteur est demeuré d'origine. Les chromes, plus nombreux sur cette version, sont en bon état général. A bord de ce luxueux vaisseau, quatre vitres électriques et un autoradio Becker Europa TR complètent les équipements, tandis que le compteur affiche 57 835km. Depuis son achat, les freins ont été révisés et de nombreux travaux visant à parfaire son fonctionnement ont été réalisés. Cet exemplaire est donc particulièrement désirable, et après les vérifications d'usage, il vous conduira avec distinction sur les routes du grand tourisme.

Launched in 1961, the W112 Mercedes 300 SE was the initiator of the 'S' Class. It filled the place vacated by the 300 'Adenauer' at the top of the range; several versions were offered, fitted with the 170 bhp M189 six-cylinder, enabling it to reach nearly 200 kph. In addition to pneumatic self-levelling rear suspension, it was more elaborately finished with chrome wheel trims and a lavishly equipped interior. Only 2419 coupés were built.
This handsome coupé in its original silver grey was registered on 2 June 1967 and joined the collection in 2017. As well as its elegant colour combination, further set off by a gloss black roof, it has an attractive interior with original and well-patinated green leather. The equipment fitted makes it highly sought-after, as it has a manual gearbox and optional air-conditioning. Its body is sound and has been repainted, while the engine compartment is original. The chrome trim - more extensive on this version - is in good overall condition. Inside this luxury flagship, four electric windows and a Becker Europa TR radio round off the equipment list, while the odometer shows 57,835 km. Since the car was bought, the brakes have been overhauled and several jobs undertaken to improve how it runs. This example is therefore particularly desirable and, after the usual checks, it will take you on tour in considerable style.
