1967 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE
Registration No: RWF 497E
Manufacturer: Volkswagen
Model: Beetle
Registration No: RWF 497E
First Registered: 1967
Mileometer: 6,300
Chassis No: 117590093
MOT: 19 January 2023
Colour: Blue

The 1967 Volkswagen Beetle offered here is described by the vendor as a very good example, and it has been upgraded with a bigger and modified engine. The interior is in good original condition, the body work is good, and the powder blue paintwork is very good.

The engine specification is as follows: Type 1- twin port with 1,835cc big bore sleeves & pistons, dual oil coolers, 287 degree cam, Weber 36 carburettor, Accuspark electronic ignition, oil catch can, oil filter conversion, and a professional 4 into 1 exhaust system. It was Dyno tested in January 2017 and was showing 130 Nm torque at 2,700 Rpm and 63.6 Kw at 5,000 Rpm, which is very good for a VW Beetle. The engine runs cool even in high temperatures, and is a free revving engine with original crank journals (not stroked). The car is fitted with a period oil pressure gauge and Smiths pulse rev counter.

The car pulls well and feels tight when driving, with quite a turn of speed for a Beetle. The car is tax and MOT exempt, and was imported from South Africa earlier in the year, but is UK registered and comes with a new V5c.
