1972 JAGUAR E-TYPE SERIES 3 ROADSTER
Registration No: PWL 355M
Manufacturer: Jaguar
Model: E-Type Series 3 Roadster
Registration No: PWL 355M
First Registered: 1972
Mileometer: 82,321
Chassis No: 1S2095BW
MOT: Exempt
Colour: Red

The E-Type Series 3 was introduced in 1971, with a new 5.3 L twelve cylinder Jaguar V12 engine, uprated brakes and standard power steering. Optionally an automatic transmission, wire wheels and air conditioning were available. The brand new V12 engine was originally developed for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was equipped with four Zenith carburettors. The final engine was claimed to produce 203 kW (272 hp), more torque, and a 0-60 mph acceleration of less than 7 seconds, but this bhp figure was reduced in later production. The short wheelbase FHC body style was discontinued, with the Series 3 available only as a convertible and 2+2 coupé.

The Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Roadster Auto offered here is described by the vendor to be in very good condition all round and to drive very well. This is an original UK car which comes with some history which appears to confirm the 82,000 miles showing. The car is fitted with wire wheels and a service has been carried out which included a new radiator and power steering pump. The car has very recently been fitted with a new hood, alternator, and some ignition parts. The car looks superb in the desirable red paintwork. The car is used daily at the present time and is ready for the new owner to enjoy. The car has been driven from the Essex coast to Southampton for the auction, and the vendor says that he had no issues doing so.
