L'Alfa Romeo Montreal a été présentée comme concept-car en 1967 à l'Expo 67, à Montreal, Québec, Canada. Il fut demandé à la firme de présenter une voiture représentative du " symbole de la plus grande aspiration que l'homme puisse réaliser en matière d'automobile ". C'est le public qui la baptisa " Montréal ". Le prototype utilisait le moteur 1,6 litre de l'Alfa Romeo Giulia TI et le châssis à empattement court de l'Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT, avec une carrosserie conçue par Marcello Gandini chez Bertone. La voiture de série a reçu un tout nouveau moteur V8 dérivé de la T33 de compétition.
La voiture de la vente fut vendue par la 'Société française Alfa Romeo ' en décembre 1973 et c'est en 2015 qu'elle entra dans la collection de notre amateur, qui fit refaire l'embrayage et l'alternateur l'année suivante. Elle se présente dans un bon état d'origine, seules les tapis de laine bordées de cuir noir ont été refaits en ce qui concerne l'intérieur. Il est rare de trouver une Montréal française d'origine dans un tel état de conservation.

The Alfa Romeo Montreal was presented as a concept car in 1967 at the 1967 Montreal Motor Show, Quebec, Canada. , Alfa Romeo was commissioned to showcase a car that would represent the "symbol of the greatest aspiration that man can realize regarding automobiles." It was the public who christened the car "Montreal". The prototype used the 1.6-liter Alfa Romeo Giulia TI engine and the short-wheelbase chassis of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT, with a bodywork designed by Marcello Gan- V8 derived from The T33 racing car.
This example has been sold new by Alfa Romeo France in December 1973 but it joined the collection of our collector only in 2015. The following year, the clutch and the alternator were refurbished. It is in good original condition, only the red wool carpets with a black leather piping have been redone. It is rare to find nowadays a French unrestored Montreal in such a well preserved condition.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FRENCH TECHNICAL INSPECTION HAS IDENTIFIED AN ISSUE AND THAT THE CAR REQUIRES A NEW PRESENTATION.
