1975 Alfa Romeo 2000 Berlina

[ translate ]

Chassis No. AR2371868
Introduced in 1971 as the evolution of the 1750, the Alfa Romeo 2000 Berlina represented Alfa Romeo's distinctive blend of sporting character and everyday usability. By 1975, the model benefited from a 1,962 cc twin-cam inline-four producing 131 PS, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. This rambunctious performance created a brisk performer, with its sharp handling characteristics, capable of over 190 km/h. Subtle styling revisions distinguished the 2000 from its predecessor, while its well-appointed interior and engaging dynamics made it beloved Italian sports sedans since new.
Finished in Blu Olandese (Dutch Blue) over a Beige Skai interior, this 1975 example has been with a single owner for 38 years. Under their care, the body work has been completely refinished, suspension tastefully lowered and fitted with new alloy wheels like those fitted to the Montreal when new. An electronic ignition distributor has been added to improve reliability of its 2.0-liter inline-four. The interior is tidy and well-presented, reflecting dedicated long-term ownership. Combining classic Italian design with practical performance and considered updates, this Berlina remains a refined and usable example of this sporting Italian sedan today.
