THE ALFA ROMEO ALFETTA

The Alfa Romeo Alfetta is a quintessential Italian sports sedan, blending performance, style, and engineering innovation. Produced between 1972 and 1987, the Alfetta is notable for its advanced transaxle layout—placing the gearbox at the rear for near-perfect weight distribution—delivering a dynamic and engaging driving experience.

Featuring sleek, angular lines with a distinctive Alfa grille and signature round headlights, the Alfetta embodies the elegance and sportiness that defines the brand. Its interior combines driver-focused ergonomics with quality Italian craftsmanship, offering a refined yet functional cabin.

Power comes from a range of Alfa Romeo's renowned twin-cam engines, from efficient four-cylinder units to spirited V6 options in the later GTV models. Handling is precise, with independent suspension and responsive steering that provides a balanced and exhilarating ride.

The Alfetta remains a beloved classic for enthusiasts, celebrated for its timeless design, innovative engineering, and the unmistakable Alfa Romeo driving character.

THE CAR OFFERED

This wonderful Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT was manufactured in August of 1976 before heading to the United States as a US Spec example. The car is finished in Rossa Alfa over black interior with red carpeting, a quintessential combination for the Italian brand. This example appears to be a numbered Mario Andretti Limited Edition, number 212 of 300 according to the plaque on the dashboard, although this claim was not able to be verified at the time of printing. The car looks to be highly original with very low mileage to show, only 22,684 miles covered at the time of photography, which is believed to be true.

Originally delivered with Spica fuel injection, this car was converted to run the popular Weber carburetor system, surely a wonderful improvement. Other notable features include a wood rimmed steering wheel, bucket seats, stylish Campagnolo alloy wheels, 5-speed manual transmission, air conditioning and more. This Alfetta is accompanied by its set of owner's manuals, maintenance program guide and Mario Andretti pamphlet. Alfetta GTs are known to be wonderful drivers, this example deserves a close look.
