1994 Jaguar XJS V-12 Convertible

[ translate ]

Original “survivor” condition car in Glacier White with the following packages: *Sport handling package (featuring aluminum alloy 16 inch wheels in trim matching accents) *All weather package (features headlight washers) *Sport Paint package (much of chrome trim replaced with matching white painted surfaces) *6.0 liter V-12 engine *4 speed automatic transmission *Power top Mileage is 81,124 original miles This car has been renewed mechanically back to daily driver condition. V-12 and transmission completely sorted by Rocco’s European Garage in Atlanta Georgia in 2019. Over 10K invested (receipts accompany the car to prove that) to bring the car up to safety and drivability standards. This includes: New brakes/Kelly Edge 225/50/16 tires/all lights and signals work/AC and heat work as normal along with repair to all engine and transmission issues that needed repair/replacing. Transmission was completely rebuilt from the ground up, so its as brand new. Engine was about 75% rebuilt and all issues were addressed/renewed to daily driver status. Only known issues are: power top was working but quit in December-diagnosed as a new top motor being needed ($250 on ebay). Battery may need replacing as it has not been driven hardly at all, and kept mostly on a trickle charger over the winter in a heated garage. It is charging, but Jaguars require a HUGE cold crank charge to start up properly, a solidly charging battery is essential. Interior is survivor quality with some of the burlwood bits needing re-covering with clearcoat, and the seats need a deep leather conditioning/cleaning-but all are certainly renewable with effort. There is one spill on the back seat bench (passenger side) that will need professional leather restoration. All original mats come with the car. It will need a new floor carpet kit if completely restoring it to new. Glass is all good including convertible top glass. Exterior is survivor quality and has been professionally buffed as much as possible. It will obviously need a respray with complete restoration, but as is, I’d call it a 6 (on a 1-10 scale). No rust anywhere that I can see, and the lower front bumper facia has 2 fiberglass cracks to be repaired (both look very simple and straightforward—an area most of these cars have that same issue) This is a very rare car in a very rare color/package combo. It certainly needs restoration and would be a beautiful candidate for a “lipstick” style restoration. The car, beyond a new top motor, is mechanically ready for many more years of service. Like most high performance cars, it simply needs to be driven more than the current owner can ever do. It needs an owner that can put another 10K into paint and interior bits can make this car a stunning example of British Luxury Performance.
