1995 Venturi Atlantique 300
Chassis No. VK8CUP41196CE0012
Exécution No. 12/70
Founded in 1984 by French engineers Claude Poiraud and Gérard Godfroy, MVS— Manufacture de Voitures de Sport—was intended to compete with fast, luxurious GT offerings from Porsche, Aston Martin, and Ferrari. Debuting at the 1986 Paris Motor Show, the company's first production model was the Venturi, a sleek, mid-engined sports car built around a tubular steel backbone chassis, fiberglass bodywork, and sophisticated double-wishbone suspension.
Through a decade of continuous refinement, the Venturi evolved into its most refined form, the Atlantique 300. Penned by co-founder Gérard Godfroy, it retained the elegant proportions of its predecessors while adopting smoother, more contemporary lines. Power came from the 3.0-liter PRV V6 sourced from the Alpine A610; in non-catalyzed specification, as fitted to this car, the engine produced 300 CV and propelled the 1,250-kg car to a top speed of 280 km/h. Just 70 examples were ultimately built, encompassing 57 turbos and 13 Biturbos.
This fine Venturi Atlantique 300, identified by its dashboard plaque as Exécution No. 12, is the twelfth of just 57 examples to leave the small factory in Coueron—and one of just 19 completed in 1995, the final year of original MVS production before the company was placed in liquidation and revived the following year by Thai investors, under whose ownership the remaining examples were completed. Finished in evocative Bleu Mauritius and trimmed in warm Sheya Sport tan leather, this sophisticated pairing flatters the model's low, bespoke coachwork beautifully. Supplied new to a private owner in the Ain region of eastern France, the car subsequently passed into a Breton family, remaining within it until the current owner acquired the car in 2022.
The original service booklet remains with the car, documenting a diligent maintenance history across several French specialists in recent years including SL Automobiles—most recently performing service in November 2025 at 10,395 km. This service included an oil and brake fluid change, replacement of both upper-rear suspension arms, a refurbishment of all four wheels, a four-wheel alignment, and a detailing. Under current ownership, SL Automobiles has additionally completed a full refurbishment of the underbody and a revision of the fuel injection system. The odometer was replaced at approximately 70,000 km—a supporting invoice is on file—and while the displayed reading does not reflect total distance traveled, the car's history can be traced through an extensive set of maintenance records and invoices covering nearly its entire life.
Judging from its current condition, this Atlantique has clearly been cherished, presenting today with 10,403 km and in admirably preserved order, with the tan interior retaining its suppleness and color, and the bodywork its rich depth of finish. With just 57 examples built in total, this is among the finest candidates for any serious collection of rare French sports cars. The car is offered on a French carte grise and accompanied by a valid Contrôle Technique (MOT), most recently completed in September 2025.
