Reprenant la prestigieuse appellation du prototype Ferrari 512 M des années 70, ce modèle succédait à la Testarossa. Il en reprenait la ligne générale signée Pininfarina, l'architecture à moteur central et les couvre-culasses rouges (qui donnait son nom à sa devancière), mais il bénéficiait de nombreuses améliorations. Avec une calandre modifiée, la 512 M était plus légère et son 12-cylindres à plat 5 litres voyait sa puissance passer à 440 ch à 6 750 tr/mn, ce qui lui permettait de passer la borne du kilomètre en moins de 23 secondes et d'atteindre 315 km/h en pointe ! Des performances qui la maintiennent encore aujourd'hui dans le club fermé des supercars les plus brillantes.
Après la 512 TR, la 512 M constitue le parfait aboutissement de la lignée Testarossa. Quand en plus elle se présente dans l'état rare de l'exemplaire que nous présentons, alors vous avez entre les mains ce que Ferrari faisait de mieux dans les années 90.

This Ferrari 512 M is a special example, offered in flawless, original condition with low mileage (22 000 km), regularly maintained, and coming with all its books. Sold new by the Al Tayer garage in Dubaï, it has been looked after extremely carefully. The car had a major service under than a year ago which included changing the timing belt, along with other work listed in the file of invoices.
Taking up the prestigious name of the Ferrari 512 M prototype of the 1970s, this model succeeded the Testarossa. Keeping much of Pininfarina's classic Testarossa design, with a mid-engine set-up and red cam covers that had given its predecessor its name, the 512 M benefitted from a host of improvements. With a modified grille, the car was lighter and the 5-litre flat-twelve engine increased the power to 440 bhp at 6 750 tr/m. The car was capable of covering a kilometre in under 23 seconds, and boasted a top speed of 315 km/h ! This staggering performance has ensured the 512 M has kept its place in the exclusive club for the most spectacular supercars.
Following on from the 512 TR, the 512 M was the ultimate evolution of Testarossa styling. Here is a perfect example of what Ferrari did best in the 1990s, presented in rare, original condition.
