The Series II Discovery was introduced in 1998. It had been modified with 720 'differences'. The interior and exterior was re-worked to be less utilitarian, and every body panel was new except the rear door outer skin. The new model saw the 2,495 cc Td5 introduced. The 3,948 cc V8 petrol version from the Discovery 1 was replaced with the Thor 4.0-litre V8, and from 2003 the 4.6-litre V8, and self-levelling air springs were available.
This 1999 Land Rover Discovery TD5 ES Automatic full specification 7 Seater is finished in metallic green with grey leather interior. The car has covered a warranted 43250 miles from new, and is fitted with twin electric sunroofs, electric heated seats, electric mirrors, climate control and a Harman Kardon sound system. All Handbooks are present, together with service history and bills etc. A new mot has recently been carried out and new front brake pads have been fitted. A stamped service book is supplied with the car which is stamped up to 31,308 miles and invoices from then until last service at 41143 miles. Full MOT history warrants the mileage.
The vehicle was purchased by the vendor from Barons Auctioneers in 2019. ownership the car has covered around 10,000 miles, and was enjoyed every mile covered.
The car has never had a tow bar fitted, and it still has a working rear step. It was bought new from Park Lane Land Rover in London by the Greek Embassy and was given diplomatic plates. Placed on current registration in 2015 when it was taken out of diplomatic service. This is said to be an excellent example, and we would suggest, difficult to find with this mileage and condition.
