19C. Crystal & Silver Scent Bottle w/ Sotheby's Tag

A 19th century antique perfume scent bottle crafted from deep red crystal and gilt silver. Features an elegant baroque pedestal base, adorned with winged Erotes maidens for handles and a figural Roman gentleman as the hinged flip top finial. No apparent makers mark. Test silver. Provenance: This item originated from a distinguished auction event hosted by Sotheby's in October 1995, designated as LOT 2192 at the Neues Schloss (New Castle), Baden-Baden, Germany. It was a part of the royal collection belonging to Margrave Max von Baden (1933-2022), a prominent figure in European aristocracy and the first cousin of Prince Charles III. This auction showcased a selection of valuable items from his esteemed collection.
