19C Japanese Painting Scroll Woman School Hokusai (StP)

Up for sale from a recent client in Honolulu Hawaii, this 19th century Japanese ukiyo-e style painting scroll depicting a beautiful woman possibly reading a love letter and is signed Hokusai. The painting was inspected by the Senior Asian Fine Arts appraiser here in Honolulu that confirmed that this piece was not just a late copy but was from the 19th century and from a student or artist from the school of Hokusai and not just an after painting. Painting 34 ⅝ inches x 11 inches

Condition: The item is overall in good pre-owned condition , with minor soiling and staining in places, some toning and the mounting with some typical issues, inspected by an Asian Arts appraiser"
