19TH C. ENGLISH IRON BALANCE BUTCHER MEAT SCALE WITH WHITE PORCELAIN PAN, H 24 1/2", W 16", D 24". Unusual with bull finial, scroll and spiral finial frame; unmarked except for the blue English transfer marks dated 1851 to 1862 with figure of blindfolded Justice with lion on the white porcelain pan; includes 5 brass weights from 1 pound. to 14 lbs. Condition: shows its age with wear including patina wear to gilt of bull, to the weights with much wear and scratches, the porcelain shows use scratches, roughage on the side on the right and some light cracks; etc. See photos.
