19TH C. FRENCH OAK RENAISSANCE HALL BENCH

French, 19th century. Carved oak hall settee or bench in the Renaissance taste, having a dolphin crest centering on a shield surmounted by a marquis's coronet, spindle back with scrolled foliate detail, animal form arms, and rising on barley twist legs with turned legs, letter notations to the underside but otherwise apparently unmarked.
