19TH C. LOUIS XV STYLE ORMOLU & ROUGE MARBLE CLOCK

Movement Samuel Marti et Cie (French, 1841- ), late 19th century. Gilt bronze mantel clock in the Louis XV taste, having a patinated sphere surmounted by putti, acanthus detail, and rising on a rouge griotte marble base, the movement stamped '2230' and Paris Exhibition of 1889 silver medal noted and '2230' to the pendulum.

Condition: Key is present, clock was not in working condition at time of cataloging - would recommend professional serving, hands are bent, no apparent chips to marble.
