Acquired through inheritance by the descendants of Alexander Ivanovich Nelidov (1835-1910), Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Italy, and France
Collection of the Nelidov family to the present day

CONDITION
Observed in frame, the painting appears in poor condition. The panel has been cradled. Scattered flaking resulting in losses. Inspection under UV light shows a heavy layer of masking varnish.
