A fine selection of forged-iron armor components from Central Asia adorned with etched figural and animal motifs. First is a Khula Khud helmet of a domed form with a central nose guard, a four-sided spike on top, a lower mesh lining made from thousands of iron chain links, and etched equestrian motifs and Kufic script adorned with faint gilding. Second is one half of the lower cannon of a vambrace meant to protect the forearm with a pointed elbow cap, a narrow wrist opening with a flared rim, and four equestrian figures riding among a field of animals.
