19th C. Tibetan Silver, Amber & Coral Ring, 25 g

**First Time At Auction**

Central Asia, Tibet, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A lovely ring of a wearable form made from 92% silver. The shank is composed of two terminals that curve downwards and rest next to one another, and the upper body is adorned with dozens of petite trios of circular appliques as well as corded patterning. Two inverted drop-form coral stones are inlaid within form-fitting bezels, and pinned to the top is a perforated amber disc. Size (ring): 1.2" W x 1.3" H (3 cm x 3.3 cm); (center stone): 0.75" W (1.9 cm); quality of silver: 92%; total weight: 25 grams.

Provenance: ex-Davis collection, Houston, Texas, USA, acquired before 2013 from various auction houses in London and New York
