19th Century French Drocourt Carriage Clock. Eight day striking and repeating movement, enameled dial with roman numerals set in an engraved surround, within a neoclassical style gilt brass case. Engraved marks on movement reverse from top to bottom left to right: S, F, Paris Hands, 26092. 22 on case interior bottom. 26092 also on case underside. Circa 1880. {Approximate dimensions including handle: 8 high x 4 1/8 wide x 3 1/2 inches deep.} Receipt from John Carlton-Smith Antique Clocks and Barometers, 17 Ryder Street, London, on April 23 1992.
