19th Century French Gilt Bronze & Champleve Mantel
DESCRIPTION: A 19th Century french gilt bronze & champleve mantel clock. Designed with four glass panels and a gilt case embellished with champleve decorations in celeste blue ground, with floral motifs in pink, red and green colors. It is further designed with a large urn figural finial top. The clock sits atop a footed rectangular ornate bronze base with lateral and frontal champleve panels and four figural legs designed as a winged standing eagle figures. The white porcelain dial exhibits painted floral motifs and roman numerals. The glass panels case, with frontal and back door aperture, is flanked by four Corinthian columns in each corner. The frontal ones with a winged lion shape. Marked on the movement "Made in France 1889".
