19th Century Ifugao Tribal Shaman’s Sacrificial Bulul Basket Fetish. Features a reclining hand carved “bulul” hipag human figure; evidence of volcanic rock, bone, nuts, fire starting material, and volcanic sand throughout the sacrificial contents. Circa 1870. {Approximate dimensions: 3 1/4 high x 5 1/4 wide x 4 inches deep.}. Parallels: Similar, but less fine, examples are published in “The Last Filipino Head Hunters,” on page #57. Condition: Evidence of use and wear, no apparent repairs or loss.
