Oversized mahogany gothic revival armchair or throne in the manner of Augustus Welby Pugin (English, 1812-1852), possibly from a lodge or church, having a foliate crest, ogee paneled back with later attached fauxleopard upholstered back and seat, open arched arm supports, and rising on square, chamfered legs with block feet. Unmarked. Approx. h. 72", w. 35.75", d. 28.25".
